The "Links" page has been expanded to include a listing of Pagan chants and songs.
The "Home" tab has been reorganized, now that we have materials from more coven members. First, the official materials about the Greenhaven Tradition and Fieldhaven Coven are now filed under "About Us," these being "Greenhaven Tradition" and "Words To Live By." Second, perspectives from individual members are filed under "Our Voices." In addition to "The Heart and Soul of Greenhaven" there are two new pages, "Activities in a Nutshell" and "Memories of Samhain 2004."

The "Resources" tab now has a "Links" page offering references for central Illinois, interfaith work, Pagan stuff, and publishers.
I've added several more lists to the "Recommended Reading Lists" page.
The "Classes" section now has a large "Stone Magic" class with seven lessons. This is a good example of our intermediate magical material. The "Year-and-a-Day Class" page has been revised, along with a few other tidbits. The "Home" tab now has several subpages. "About Us" gives a general overview of the Greenhaven Tradition and Fieldhaven Coven. "The Heart and Soul of Greenhaven" is a personal essay by a coven member, describing our philosophy and practices. "Words To Live By" is a set of quotations speaking to our ideals.
Also new is the "Resources" tab, which currently has one subpage, "Recommended Reading Lists." This gives ideas for further exploration, both online and in paper. The "Cooking Feasts" section of the "Activities" tab is now complete with "Ostara Recipes" and "Beltane Recipes." Look here for your sabbat feasting needs. Revisions are finished for "Sabbats" and all its subpages. The "Home" tab and its subpages have also been revised. The "Cooking Feasts" section has been expanded with recipes for Mabon, Samhain, Yule, and Imbolc.
I've continued working on revisions, mostly the sabbats. I've added a "Cooking Feasts" section under "Activities." This begins with tips on how to host a potluck feast and an overview of Fieldhaven food customs. So far the pages for "Litha Recipes" and "Lammas Recipes" have been posted, with more to come.
Today's revisions have focused on the "Activities" page and the individual sabbat pages. On June 21, 2011, Fieldhaven Coven celebrated our 8th anniversary. Wow! Eight years is a pretty long time for a coven to survive. Our membership has waxed and waned over the years, and we're still here.
In the afternoon, we built a fire in the firepit. We used this to cook a pot of venison chili and bake several potatoes wrapped in aluminum foil. We just took those off the fire for supper when it started to rain. Indoors, we ate supper and chatted. We talked about the coven website here, and discussed what we wanted to do for ritual. We went outside and danced briefly before ducking back inside for more discussion. After the rain stopped, we went back to the ritual meadow and stirred up the fire, restarting it from the coals. We held our ritual. We had s'mores for "Cakes and Ale" despite intermittent drizzle. We even cooked a couple for Drake, our resident fire elemental. (Few things are cuter than watching a 30-foot dragon beg for marshmallows like an overgrown weiner dog.) Finally we went back inside. All told, we had a wonderful day. There is a new "Classes" section under "Activities." It includes pages on a "PVC Drum-making Workshop" and our "Year-and-a-Day Class."
The "Essays & Articles" section now includes material through 1999. Some other pages have been touched up too. The "Poetry" section now contains at least one poem per year from 1992-2011. The "Essays & Articles" section has several new articles; I'm going through my archive looking for things to add, and I'm up to 1997, although some of the material already onsite is from later years.
"Essays & Articles" now has an overview on its section page, not just a blank space. I've done also significant updates to the "Esbats" and "Sabbats" pages. I've added a "Writing" section. So far it contains "Composing Magic" (about my how-to book on magical writing), "Essays & Articles" (more how-to and other information), and "Poetry" (with poems from 2002-2007). This section is not done yet, and will develop into a sizable archive of Pagan materials. Most of this stuff is reprinted from things I wrote for other venues, collected here in a convenient bundle.
Other sections have been touched up as proofreading reveals typos and places that need improvement. |
